Adriel Manoe is a Singapore-based Filmmaker and Cinematographer, who is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in visual communications in Lasalle College Of The Arts. His main body of work focuses on freelance projects and collaborations with Singapore-based artists to create short films and music videos.

His background knowledge in design has helped him create his works, by learning how to infuse his own elements of creativity and style in order to create a piece of art that is uniquely his. He values the importance of visuals  being evenly commercially good, and artistically great.

How it began

Adriel Manoe's career first started with the curiosity of filmmaking. With only a DSLR in hand, he began consistently creating short films with a duration of no more than 1-minute, making most of what he can with the environment surrounding him.

Through this, he discovered his passion for not only filmmaking but also the joy of creating narratives, simultaneously writing his own stories for his own films.

In which these narratives are often visual representations of life's many occurrences - specifically his.

With social media platforms and their users being ever so active these days, he then began posting his work on Instagram. Following a gradual increase of his productivity, he became more serious in filmmaking when several collaborators had reached out to him for projects.

Now, he currently focuses on contributing to more larger scale projects, which several range from music videos to TV commercials, while always finding the time for his everyday self-initiated projects.

Color Grading

Being inspired by films such as Blade Runner (1982), and filmmakers such as David Fincher and Andrei Tarkovsky, he adopts tones that are predominantly dark, muted, cinematic, and moody into his work.

Adriel Manoe is known to wear multiple hats from one project to another; and much like a painter with a canvas, he often works his magic as a colorist for his films.
